Role Overview

The Sales Manager will drive global sales growth for GLO Marine’s engineering and vessel upgrade services. This role combines strategic sales leadership with hands-on customer development, account nurturing, and team coordination. The Sales Manager will lead efforts to grow the client base, identify new market opportunities, develop key relationships, and contribute to GLO Marine’s positioning as a go-to partner for vessel retrofits and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales Strategy & Growth Implementation
  • Develop and execute global sales strategies to expand presence in maritime and offshore energy sectors.
  • Set and manage sales targets aligned with company revenue goals.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities, managing leads throughout the sales cycle.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, PM, marketing) for seamless handovers.
  • Account Management & Client Retention
    • Act as key point of contact for strategic accounts to ensure long-term client satisfaction.
    • Understand client needs to proactively propose solutions.
    • Track project performance and provide after-sales support.
    • Maintain a structured account review process and identify expansion opportunities.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Market and Competitor Analysis
    • Research customer profiles and tailor sales approaches.
    • Monitor market trends, competition, and customer needs.
    • Create market insights reports to guide decisions.
  • Performance Management & Reporting
    • Maintain CRM records, forecasts, and dashboards.
    • Generate reports on campaign performance and sales KPIs.
    • Propose adjustments or new campaigns as needed.
    • Represent GLO Marine at industry events to showcase expertise.
    Candidate Profile
    • Proven experience in sales or account management in maritime, offshore, or marine engineering sectors.
    • Knowledge of vessel operations, retrofitting, or lifecycle management is advantageous.
    • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
    • Willing to travel internationally.
    • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
    • Relevant Mechanical/Marine Engineering qualification.
    • At least 5 years of experience in a marine-driven market with a record of securing complex projects.
    • Strong relationship-building skills and established client networks.
    • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
    • Familiarity with CRM systems and technical presentations.
    • Solid financial and commercial understanding.
