As part of the strong development of Business Information Services, ICON by Coface is recruiting a Pre Sales - Solution Engineer to support commercial activities. This role will report directly to the Group Head of Solution Engineering. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the presales organization to optimize processes, gain efficiencies to discover and define the optimal solutions to deliver customer satisfaction and drive sales growth.

About the Role - The Pre - Sales Solution Engineer responsible for partnering with the Sales team to drive complex solutions sales. The role holder acts as the solution subject matter expert during the sales cycle and owns the end-to-end solution design to solve specific customer problems. The role holder also represents the technical and functional aspects of the solution and performs presentations / demonstrations, assists with technical questions, or concerns during the sales process and frequently participates in the initial stage of the project specification process.

Responsibilities

  • Structure solution demonstrations to match client requirements.
  • Support RFx responses.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to execute proof of concept activities, including configuring and implementing product demonstrations for potential customers.
  • Provide ongoing demonstrations in large clients to spread understanding of functionality across different business / portfolio areas.
  • Provide initial pricing for delivery of solutions.
  • Assist with proposal documentation.
  • Ensure knowledge sharing and promote collaboration across countries.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and effectively communicate the value proposition of our products or services.
  • Address technical and functional inquiries from potential customers, providing detailed explanations and solutions to their questions or concerns.
  • Acquire and expand deep knowledge on products, solutions, and competitors.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements to enhance product knowledge and provide insightful recommendations to the presales team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and marketing, to gather and share knowledge and insights for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration / marketing / data Analysis, master’s degree Preferred.
  • Previous experience is required (minimum of 3-4 years), and an initial consulting experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to acquire expertise in the products or solutions being offered. (knowledgeable about the technical aspects, functionalities, and capabilities of the product to effectively address customer inquiries and demonstrate its value).
  • Ability to thrive in a multicultural environment, demonstrating an understanding of the unique characteristics and adapting processes to suit each specific case.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner, considering language barriers and cultural sensitivities.
  • Flexibility for traveling to customer sites, attending industry events, or conducting on-site product demonstrations.
  • We are looking for a team player that actively collaborates with team members, sharing knowledge and ideas, and contributing to the collective success of the team.
  • Results oriented.
  • High level of English is a must, fluency in another language is an asset.
  • Great presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
