JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Director
JOB PURPOSE

The job holder is responsible for the activities of demand & supply planning, sales/customers administration, purchasing, and logistics.

The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of the supply chain strategy, with a key focus on vendor management, logistics coordination, and inventory control.

The jobholder ensures that all parts of the product development and production process come together to deliver the right product at the right quality, the right cost, and at the right time.

MAIN DUTIES
  • Lead execution of demand, logistics operations, and sourcing strategies that provide competitive advantage and contribute to financial plans, inventory investment, and service level targets.
  • Assume responsibility for sales administration and improve customer service experience.
  • Take ownership of customer issues and follow problems through to resolution. Develop and implement strategies for procuring, manufacturing, storing, and distributing goods to optimize stock levels.
  • Develop and manage relationships with sourcing partners to leverage capabilities, maximize value, improve processes, and reduce costs.
  • Liaise with other departments, support, and ensure that all purchases for commercial purposes are well negotiated, specifications and prices are verified, and alternatives are recommended if available. Manage relationships between forecasts, production planning, lead-time, inventory turns, and customer service deliverables.
  • Develop and oversee 3PL relationships to ensure SLAs are met.
  • Analyze logistics KPIs such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, and shipping costs; report on performance. Ensure compliance with logistics regulations and documentation standards. Lead business process improvement activities and leverage IT solutions to measure supply chain effectiveness.
  • Establish efficient internal processes to ensure timely communication among teams (Design, Product Development, Production, Logistics). Collaborate with senior management to set and execute strategies to service and grow the company's market presence worldwide.
JOBHOLDER REQUIREMENTS

3–7 years of experience in supply chain management, with strong background in 3PL operations and logistics. Solid knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory control, and warehouse management systems.

Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate multiple vendors to determine the best deals based on price, quality, delivery speed, and other factors.

Negotiating Skills: Experience working with suppliers to create optimal deals.

High sensitivity to customer service, with a strong understanding of sales and retail management in luxury goods. Excellent communication skills; ability to use technical, business, and financial knowledge to communicate effectively with executives and teams.

Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Fluency in Italian and English.
