Job summary

The purpose of the job is to support the Manager in implementing controlling and analysis activities to manage and plan the economic and financial indexes of Istituto Marangoni (Milano School, Milano Design, Firenze School of Fashion & Art).

The Controllership Specialist supports the Manager in developing accurate monthly financial closings, identifying variances relative to the budget/forecast, and defining monthly forecasts (including cash flow).

Key purpose of the role

• Controlling the Italian accounting department and improving the profitability of the Italian Schools;
• Verifying active and passive cash flows;
• Analyzing variances in relation to the budget/forecast and cash forecast to predict main income and cost flows;
• Supporting School Directors in developing main School Projects;
• Compiling and managing economic and financial reports monthly and annually;
• Managing accountability during the preparation of the annual financial statements;
• Supervising budgeting and forecasting activities of the country;
• Supporting and maintaining the accounting system;
• Identifying and developing corrective actions to improve finance processes.

Education and Skills

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role;
• Economics degree;
• Good knowledge of SAP B1 and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel;
• Proficiency in English;
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
• Proactive attitude, analytical skills, and team-oriented mindset.
