Position: Process Sales Area Manager Italy (m/f/d)

The Process Sales Area Manager will be responsible for expanding our market share in the Pharma and Biopharma industries by focusing on existing and new customers, with an emphasis on project management and business development skills with a growth mindset. This role reports directly to the Process Sales Director.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop the pharma business in the territory by building a pipeline of new opportunities with existing and new pharma customers to ensure market penetration.
  2. Achieve sales growth targets in line with company policies.
  3. Prospect the market (Focus Pharma/Biopharma), gather customer applications, and collect competitive information.
  4. Monitor the sales network, define, and execute action plans.
  5. Analyze sales figures to forecast sales performance.
  6. Enhance product penetration with existing customers/partners, applying an 80/20 mentality.
  7. Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities, providing insights into sales trends and potential.
  8. Secure margins, defend our added value, and differentiate our products.
  9. Apply the 'Sales Excellence' culture and our 80/20 business model.
  10. Utilize CRM tools to support commercial activities and gather market information.
  11. Participate in events, seminars, and workshops.
  12. Plan and coordinate activities with the sales director based on the 'plan, act, review' concept.
  13. Prepare visits and customer proposals, including offers, samples, technical documents, delivery agreements, quality agreements, and contracts.
  14. Analyze sales performance to provide clear forecasts for assigned accounts.
Your Profile
  • Successfully completed studies in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, and a commercial qualification.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the laboratory/Pharma Biopharma business, market dynamics, and trends.
  • Relevant sales experience with chemical and biochemical reagents.
  • Experience managing distribution networks, territory planning, and management.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Reside within the territory.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong goal orientation with an 80/20 mindset.
  • Ability to persuade and convince aligned with company goals and strategies.
  • Understanding of the financial impacts of pricing, discounts, and rebates on sales and margins.
  • Keen knowledge of analytical techniques relevant to pharmaceutical, food, clinical diagnostics, and environmental markets.
