About Our Client

An entrepreneurial company, following a buyback deal, is expanding both domestically and internationally, leveraging the energy and expertise of its talented department heads. The team of 50+ staff, located in South Milan, maintains a very low turnover due to a unique team spirit and growth mindset since re-launch.

Job Description

The Chief Improvement Officer (CIO), reporting directly to the Owner, will oversee and implement strategic initiatives to enhance organisational and manufacturing performance. Responsibilities include:

  1. Analyzing financial and operational results, proposing strategies for profitability and growth.
  2. Reviewing current processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  3. Overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency and strategic alignment.
  4. Developing and implementing operational processes and best practices.
  5. Leading cross-functional projects for process improvements.
  6. Utilizing data analytics to inform the CEO and measure initiative impacts.
  7. Collaborating with the CEO and management to define and execute long-term strategies.
  8. Monitoring KPIs and managing resources effectively.
  9. Managing relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree from top universities in business, management, or related fields; an MBA is highly valued. Proven experience in industrial manufacturing process improvement, project management, or operations management—preferably in strategic consulting, private equity, or corporate strategy departments of listed manufacturing companies—is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and familiarity with methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma are required. The candidate should be a results-oriented strategic thinker, capable of leading teams, driving change, and fostering continuous improvement.
