Galileo is a
fast-growing renewable energy developer, investor and operator, currently in the very dynamic start-up phase. Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over
15 GW of
solar PV,
onshore wind,
offshore wind and
storage projects across
10 markets in Europe.
We are looking for our new
Group Communication Manager to
build our group communication function from the ground up, by developing and executing a
communication strategy supportive of Galileo’s objectives. Reporting to the CEO and working directly with the leadership team, this person will shape the company’s narrative, build the positive attributes of Galileo in the energy transition and grow the appreciation of the company as a partner, corporate citizen and employer. They will be based in Milan (with the possibility of hybrid remote working).
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement a corporate communication strategy towards all stakeholders that showcases in an effective manner Galileo’s achievements and future vision;
- Lead and execute communication activities across digital and traditional channels, including content creation, event management, website and LinkedIn page oversight;
- Act as an internal advisor for the leadership team, providing strategic communication insights and innovative ideas;
- Build and foster a communication culture within the Group, empowering colleagues to improve their skills for communicating effectively and safely;
- Manage and evolve Galileo’s brand identity, updating brand positioning, guidelines, and materials, including overseeing branding activities at sub-group level post M&A;
- Decline and adapt the communication strategy for local markets, ensuring tailored actions are taken to support local development where needed;
- Select and manage partners and suppliers for the communication function and manage the budget.
Requirements
What you’ll need:
- At least 6 years of experience in communication, with growing responsibilities in strategy and execution. Previous experience in the energy or infrastructure sector will be considered a plus;
- Experience in institutional communication, including for listed company, is very much appreciated;
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in communications, public relations, or a related field;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; another European language is a plus;
- Working knowledge of MS Office and relevant communication tools;
- Ability to adapt to diverse work environments, from small and dynamic companies to more institutional corporates;
- Intellectual curiosity, creativity and passion for the energy transition.
