RINA is currently recruiting for a Senior Construction Quality Manager - responsabile qualità di cantiere to join its office in Genoa, Milan or Rome / Italy within the Civil Engineering Division.
Mission
The Site Quality Manager ensures that construction activities are carried out in compliance with project quality standards, technical specifications, and contractual requirements. The role involves overseeing QA/QC processes, conducting inspections, managing non-conformities, and supporting continuous improvement in collaboration with project and construction teams.
Key Accountabilities
- Quality Planning: Define and implement the Site Quality Plan in accordance with corporate standards and client requirements.
- Inspection & Testing: Coordinate inspection and testing activities to verify that construction work complies with approved drawings and specifications.
- Non-Conformities Management: Identify, report, and manage non-conformities. Propose corrective and preventive actions and ensure follow-up.
- Document Control (QA/QC): Maintain QA/QC documentation, including ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), checklists, and test reports.
- Internal Audits:: Conduct regular internal audits to verify the implementation of quality procedures and identify areas for improvement.
- Subcontractor Oversight: Monitor subcontractor activities for compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
- Client Interface: Liaise with the client’s quality representative to align on procedures, inspections, and acceptance criteria.
- Quality Reporting: Prepare periodic quality reports summarizing inspection results, audit outcomes, and quality KPIs.
- Material Compliance: Ensure that all materials used on site comply with project requirements and are accompanied by relevant certifications.
- Training & Awarenes: Promote quality awareness among site personnel and deliver briefings on QA/QC topics when necessary.
- Pianificazione della Qualità
- Definire e implementare il Piano Qualità di Cantiere in conformità con gli standard aziendali e i requisiti del cliente.
- Ispezioni e Collaudi
- Coordinare le attività di ispezione e collaudo per verificare che i lavori di costruzione siano conformi ai disegni approvati e alle specifiche tecniche.
- Gestione delle Non Conformità
- Individuare, segnalare e gestire le non conformità. Proporre azioni correttive e preventive e assicurarne il follow-up.
- Gestione Documentale (QA/QC)
- Gestire la documentazione QA/QC, inclusi i Piani di Ispezione e Collaudo (ITP), le checklist e i rapporti di prova.
- Audit Interni
- Eseguire audit interni periodici per verificare l’effettiva applicazione delle procedure qualità e individuare aree di miglioramento.
- Supervisione dei Subappaltatori
- Monitorare le attività dei subappaltatori per verificarne la conformità agli standard di qualità e alle specifiche di progetto.
- Interfaccia con il Cliente
- Interagire con il rappresentante qualità del cliente per allinearsi su procedure, ispezioni e criteri di accettazione.
- Reporting Qualità
- Preparare report qualità periodici, riassumendo i risultati delle ispezioni, gli esiti degli audit e gli indicatori chiave di performance (KPI).
- Conformità dei Materiali
- Assicurare che tutti i materiali utilizzati in cantiere siano conformi ai requisiti di progetto e accompagnati dalle certificazioni richieste.
- Formazione e Sensibilizzazione
- Promuovere la cultura della qualità tra il personale di cantiere ed effettuare briefing su tematiche QA/QC quando necessario.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in site QA/QC activities on construction projects.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and construction quality standards.
- Certification as Quality Engineer or Auditor (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) is a strong plus.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian is desirable.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Laurea triennale o magistrale in Ingegneria Civile o disciplina affine.
- Esperienza di almeno 3–5 anni in attività QA/QC in ambito cantieristico.
- Conoscenza della norma ISO 9001 e degli standard di qualità applicabili alle costruzioni.
- Certificazione come Quality Engineer o Auditor (es. Lead Auditor ISO 9001) costituisce un forte vantaggio.
- Ottima conoscenza dell’inglese; la conoscenza dell’italiano è gradita.
- Ottime capacità di gestione documentale e reporting.
