Responsibilities

1. Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
2. Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
3. Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
4. Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
5. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
6. Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
7. Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
8. Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
9. Ability to perform any additional related duties as required and assigned by service department management.

Qualifications

1. 5+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
2. ASE Certification required.
3. Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
4. Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
5. Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve.
6. Enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
7. Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively.
8. Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
9. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
