Overview

Act as a senior technical advisor supporting the Navy’s Maritime Operations Centers (MOC). Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintenance, system administration, network engineering, user support, and serving as a senior technical advisor to the N2/3/6 staff and MOC watch team. A Top Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

1. MOC Job Activities:
   • Conduct on-site troubleshooting and maintenance for multiple Navy systems, providing training and coordinating with other Fleet Systems Engineers.
   • Support networking for C4I systems, which vary across sites.
   • Coordinate repairs and provide engineering services for installed systems.
   • Support hardware/software upgrades, system architecture, and configuration on MOC systems.
   • Support maintenance, configuration, and baseline management of systems, including web-based C2 applications.
   • Recommend improvements for application and system utilization, including COP management and network connectivity.
   • Support operations in a fast-paced environment, including network testing, IA policies, security systems, and compliance assessments.
   • Assist with restoral procedures, rapid response, network documentation, and security log reviews.
   • Interact with shore and ship-based organizations and end-users; travel less than 15% may be required.
2. Qualifications
   • BS in Information Technology or equivalent experience (8+ years).
   • Preferred Certifications: IAT2, IA, CE, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Windows/Unix/Linux experience.
   • Skills in network operations, server virtualization, systems administration, and knowledge of fleet communications and military C2 architectures.
   • Excellent communication skills, ability to train, and interact with senior officials.
   • Top Secret clearance.
