Avionic Subsystem Engineer / SW Engineer

We are partnering with a prestigious international company with multiple manufacturing sites across Italy. To strengthen our organizational team, we are seeking an Avionic Subsystem Engineer / SW Engineer.

Mission:

Analyze avionics system requirements and client needs to define software requirements for the subsystem. Design solutions for the development, verification, and certification of embedded, real-time, safety-critical applications for Flight Management System (FMS) and other avionics systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and aeronautical regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze client requirements and translate them into software requirements.
  • Design and develop software collaboratively with system, hardware, and testing engineers.
  • Integrate, test (unit, integration, system, qualification), validate, and verify software.
  • Manage external suppliers and procurement activities.
  • Manage project timelines, costs, resources, risks; participate in Design Reviews and certification audits.
  • Ensure compliance with aeronautical standards (DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD).

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering (Informatics, Electronics, Automation, Telecommunications, Aerospace/Aeronautics, or equivalent).
  • 3-5 years of experience in embedded real-time safety-critical software development (preferably in aerospace).
  • Knowledge of SDLC, aeronautical standards, certification regulations, UML, Model-Based Design (Matlab/Simulink), aeronautical protocols/interfaces, Ada, C/C++, validation and verification methodologies.
  • Excellent English skills (B2/C1).
  • Problem-solving skills, result orientation, team working, leadership, project management, precision.
