Florence Bilingual School in Florence, Italy, seeks an Early Years Teacher for cover/substitution on a zero-hours basis. The role offers pay of €12 per hour and requires flexibility to support the team when substitutions are needed.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic Early Years educator with strong communication and teamwork skills, able to engage young learners and maintain continuity in lessons. This is a casual substitute position within the Cognita Schools group.

About the roleThe Early Years Substitute Teacher ensures continuity in student learning by supervising, evaluating, and reporting on student progress. They plan engaging activities aligned with the curriculum, prepare the classroom environment, and set clear learning objectives. The role involves managing student behaviour, adapting teaching for individual needs, and maintaining communication with families and staff. Participation in school activities and collaboration on classroom routines is essential.

Salary: €12 per hour
Hours: Zero hours, as needed
