Evotec in Verona seeks an experienced Supervisor – Early Pharmaceutics to lead formulation development activities, oversee laboratory operations, and mentor a growing team of scientists.

You will manage day-to-day projects, support budgeting and forecasting, ensure SOPs and safety standards, and drive continuous improvement in processes and ways of working. Excellent English is essential; other languages are a plus. Target hire date: 1 October 2026.

Competenze

• MSc or equivalent in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy, Drug Delivery.
• 5–6+ years in pharma industry, preferably in early formulation or preclinical development.
• Experience managing or supervising laboratory teams.
• Experience supporting project delivery, resource planning, and laboratory operations.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
• Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced scientific environment.
• Budget tracking/forecasting experience is a plus.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and developing people.

Mansioni

• Manage day-to-day laboratory activities for formulation projects and guide scientists.
• Provide technical and operational support to Research Experts and project teams to meet standards.
• Supervise scope changes, resource requirements, and workload planning.
• Support project management activities including budget tracking and reporting.
• Ensure lab practices comply with SOPs, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Promote safe, efficient, and compliant laboratory operations.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement in processes.
• Coach and develop team members through regular feedback.
• Coordinate workload prioritisation and resource planning.
• Act as a point of contact for resolving lab, project, and operational challenges.
