The primary function of the Digital Sales Engineer role is to partner with customer to engage opportunities together with the Country Sales Team providing expertise on the Digital transformation journey powered by cutting-edge, software-defined industrial automation solutions.
This role will focus on expanding market awareness of a pioneer technology, influencing key decision-makers and driving adoption among customers, with the goal of driving sales growth.

What will you do?

• Identify and acquire new customersin the manufacturing industry through a proactive, opportunity-driven sales approach.
• Act as aninnovator and trusted advisor, with deep understanding of the challenges manufacturers face in collecting, integrating, and leveraging machine and field data.
• Define and execute go-to-market strategiesin collaboration with marketing, technical teams, and business stakeholders, focusing on scalable, next-generation solutions.
• Work closely with segment teams totarget strategic sub-segments and high-potential applicationsfor EAE technology adoption.
• Support Schneider Electric colleaguesin bringing this innovation message toexisting strategic customers, helping expand the footprint of new technologies within established accounts.
• Own the full sales cycle—from lead qualification to deal closure—negotiating pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements to maximize value.
• Engage with C-level executives, plant managers, automation engineers, and IT/OT leadersto drive digital initiatives and build long-term partnerships.

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in consultative, technical solution sales
• A good understanding of Industrial Automation and applications (ICS, PLC/SCADA, DCS, edge computing)
• Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
• Strong networking skills
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset and a proven track record inhunting and closing new business.
• Experience selling complex technology solutions in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Deep knowledge of production processes and thepain points related to industrial data management.
• Ability to communicate innovation and business value across multiple decision-making levels.
