We are seeking a Field Service Engineer for the Electrophysiology Technical Service EMEA. The role involves handling customer support in installation, service, and repair of supported products. The engineer will interact with customers via phone and in person for technical inquiries and complaints. Location preferred: Rome.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide On Site and Remote Technical Support to customers through the Customer Support Call Center.
  • Handle account schedules, install, operate, repair, and upgrade equipment within the assigned territory.
  • Devise and implement preventative maintenance programs, maintaining performance and service records.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment, responding to service calls.
  • Travel mainly within central and southern Italy (80%) and the rest of Europe (20%).
  • Respond to emergency service requests, troubleshoot, and take corrective actions.
  • Guide customers, including hospital Biomedical engineers, Field Service Specialists, and Representatives.
  • Manage customer expectations and ensure satisfaction.
  • Review complaints, parts usage, and system performance monthly to drive improvements.
  • Complete paperwork, documentation, and administrative tasks accurately and promptly.
  • Update the Service Management System with work-orders and related information.
  • Manage inventory and support audits.
  • Participate in training for supported products and processes.
  • Act as a customer advocate internally.
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental guidelines and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Engineering degree (Bachelor or Master) preferred; relevant technical experience considered.
  • Knowledge of servicing principles and practices is advantageous.
  • Experience in Medical Devices is helpful but not required.
  • Fluent in Italian and proficient in English (verbal and written).
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with service management systems is a plus.
  • Proficient with digital multimeters and standard test equipment.
  • Ability to travel on short notice, including air travel and overnight stays.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
  • Willingness to work off-hours and weekends as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift/move equipment and perform standing/bending tasks.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and use of PPE.
