Job Opportunity: Consultant/Senior Consultant - Software Asset Management

We are seeking a Consultant/Senior Consultant to join Deloitte's Software Asset Management team in Milano and Roma, working in a Hybrid mode.

The Extended Enterprise business supports companies in evaluating and managing risks related to IT products/services, guiding them towards cost optimization, improved governance, and IT process enhancement.

The services focus on Vendor Management, specifically assessing and managing risks associated with third parties (outsourcers, licensees, suppliers).

The Experienced resource will be part of a team and will be responsible for:

1. Planning and monitoring IT Assets to ensure governance and operational efficiency, managing strategies and daily/long-term operations of IT Assets (Hardware, Software, Cloud).
2. Monitoring consumption and usage related to major Cloud Providers, supporting ongoing Cloud resource management, maintenance, and asset tracking within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
3. Managing the lifecycle of hardware and software, from Software selection to implementation and decommissioning, including providing KPIs and standard reports to monitor SLAs and Incidents.
4. Managing IT Audit activities by Software Vendors (e.g., IBM, Microsoft, Redhat, Oracle).
5. Leading IT projects and understanding/executing IT Governance processes.
6. Handling key activities such as maturity assessment, technical evaluation, risk management, and understanding IT architecture concepts.
7. Having knowledge of IT Software Management tools (ServiceNow SAM Pro, Snow, Flexera, Apptio) and IT Asset Management tools (Microsoft SCCM, VMware Workspace One, Ansible).
8. Possessing strong knowledge of licensing policies of major software vendors like Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, SAP, VMware, Red Hat.
9. Holding a degree in Management Engineering, Computer Science, STEM, or Business Management.
10. Demonstrating proven negotiation and supplier relationship management skills, as well as market opportunity identification and pre-sales support.
11. Excellent written and spoken English skills; additional languages are a plus.
