Job Description:

The Account Manager is responsible for the effective and profitable sales and business management of assigned territory and customer accounts.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the territory with a focus on revenue growth and margin improvement.
  2. Work with current customers to provide value and meet service needs.
  3. Operate according to plan and forecast to monitor business behavior in the territory.
  4. Participate in plant visits, observe instruments, analyze results, and report corrective actions.
  5. Employ both economic and technical sales approaches, dealing with complex organizational structures.
  6. Coordinate with internal functions like Commercial Operations, Technical Marketing, and Product Management.
  7. Document observations during plant visits and contribute to final reports for internal use.
  8. Manage time, budget, and expenses effectively.
  9. Comply with EHS policies and Italian laws, and report related issues promptly.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field.
  • Experience in water treatment or industrial plants (e.g., steel mill, power plant, chemical plant).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Willingness to reside in Campania, Italy, and travel within the territory.
  • IT proficiency.
  • Fluent in English and Italian; French is a plus.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • At least six months of relevant work experience (internships, training, initial professional experience).
  • Passion for sales and challenges.
  • Strong sales and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven sales record or a positive attitude towards success in technical and relationship-driven business.
  • Computer skills.
  • Personal traits including integrity, tenacity, perseverance, empathy, resilience.
  • Willingness to work independently after training and demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Team player capable of handling projects.
