Detailed Work Schedule: The Student Worker (Programming Assistant) in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life will be asked to commit 10 hours per week in OFSL, primarily between 10am-4pm Mondays-Fridays.

Position Summary Information

The OFSL Student Worker (Programming Assistant) will support the department in organizing and executing educational programming and events related to fraternity and sorority life. This role includes assisting with event setup and cleanup, data evaluation of feedback, general office administration, and representing the office in interactions with guests and community members.

Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  3. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  4. Ability to work in a team environment
  5. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Participation in the OFSL Programming Board
  2. Previous experience in event planning or programming
  3. Interest or involvement in fraternity and sorority life
Key Responsibilities:
  1. OFSL Event Planning: Support the planning, setup, and cleanup of major events such as Meet the Greeks, FSL Awards, Halloween Party, Easter Egg Hunt, and Programming Board scheduling.
  2. Educational Programming Requests: Assist in coordinating and implementing educational programming initiatives for fraternities and sororities.
  3. Programming Data Evaluation: Collect and analyze feedback from attendees and participants to evaluate the effectiveness of programming.
  4. General Office Administration: Perform general office tasks including filing, updating OFSL calendars, organizing materials, and other administrative duties as assigned.
  5. Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of office supplies and materials related to programming.
  6. Guest Interaction & Reception: Answer phones, greet guests, and provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone.
  7. Community Engagement: Attend events, engage with chapter & community leadership, and promote a positive image of Greek life on campus.

Wage Rate: $10.00
