Endu - Cloud Engineer / DevOps Specialist

Location: Cremona, Italy (Remote with occasional on-site visits)

Endu, a leading platform for endurance sports in Italy, is seeking a Cloud Engineer / DevOps Specialist to enhance and evolve our cloud infrastructure. Our platform combines legacy components running on virtual machines with a modern Kubernetes-based infrastructure. We are undertaking an ambitious application overhaul to fully migrate to Kubernetes, ensuring scalability, reliability, and technological innovation.

In this context, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is crucial for managing and automating our three environments (development, staging, production). We are looking for a candidate with advanced knowledge of Terraform / Open Tofu to implement and optimize this strategy.

Responsibilities

1. Manage and improve the current cloud infrastructure, ensuring high reliability and performance.
2. Implement and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring consistency and automation across all environments.
3. Support the transition from virtual machines to containerized applications on Kubernetes, aligned with our modernization journey.
4. Design and implement monitoring solutions, alarm management, and telemetry collection.
5. Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines, deploying from GitHub to Kubernetes using Argo CD/CI.
6. Ensure security and hardening of the Kubernetes cluster and DevOps processes.
7. Collaborate with development teams to integrate infrastructure and DevOps processes.
8. Possess advanced experience with AWS, including key infrastructure management services.
9. Manage and monitor infrastructure costs, implementing strategies to reduce costs while maintaining performance and reliability.
10. Have solid knowledge of Kubernetes, including cluster management, security, and advanced configuration.
11. Possess advanced knowledge of Terraform / Open Tofu and use of IaC for cloud infrastructure management.
12. Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Argo CD/CI, Jenkins or similar).
13. Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and tracing tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Jaeger, DataDog, Dynatrace or similar).
14. Ability to optimize cloud resources and manage costs efficiently.
15. Competence in managing cloud security (IAM, secret management, etc.).
16. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
17. Proactive attitude and capability to anticipate and address potential infrastructure issues.
18. Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery, to support specific infrastructure components.
19. Experience in managing virtual machines and migrating towards containerized architectures.
20. Familiarity with advanced logging and telemetry processes.
21. Ability to automate cloud and DevOps processes via scripting (Python, Bash, or similar).

This position is remote, with a requirement to visit the office 1-2 times per month. An initial onboarding period at the office will be scheduled, with duration depending on the infrastructure handover. The office remains available for those who prefer to work in person.
