Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) powers our cloud services. As a CO+I Regional R-SDCT, you will play a key role in delivering core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft’s online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Azure. CO+I emphasizes personal and professional development, offering trainings, growth opportunities, and certifications.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with basic knowledge of computer hardware and experience supporting IT equipment.
  • Understanding of software programming principles is a plus.

Must meet security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting IT hardware in a 24/7 datacenter environment.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Server+, Network+, Data Center Foundation, MCP, or vendor-specific network certifications.
Responsibilities

Data Center Operations:

  • Expertise in preparing, installing, troubleshooting, and replacing equipment, understanding network and server interactions.
  • Share information proactively and evaluate process changes for impact.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and meet SLAs.

Service Delivery:

  • Hardware installation and deployment across the region.
  • Support activities for new datacenter setups and post-installation quality checks.
  • Diagnose issues quickly and coordinate hardware decommissioning.

Managing Services:

  • Contribute to issue resolution and support team guidance.
  • Monitor KPIs, support stakeholder partnerships, and mentor technicians.

Data Center Work Environment:

  • Conduct safety briefings, promote safety culture, and ensure security and data procedures are followed.
  • Foster team collaboration and guide technicians within shifts.

Ownership:

  • Take pride and accountability for service quality and user experience.
  • Understand client needs to improve service delivery.
