Nusr-Et is actively seeking a talented and dynamic individual to join our team in the capacity of a Restaurant General Manager (Milan). This exciting opportunity is tailor-made for a high-performing professional who possesses a passion for excellence and a penchant for driving organizational growth. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food, service, health & safety, ensuring the efficient and profitable business performance of the restaurant and the optimal utilisation of staff and resources. Safeguard all legal processes. He/she will also be responsible for the legal compliance of all activities of the operation.

What do we look for?

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in restaurant management, ideally within a fast-paced environment such as restaurants, hospitality or food & beverage services
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing high-performing hospitality venues
  • Exemplary leadership and decision-making skills, emphasizing team growth and development.
  • A strategic approach to operations with a strong understanding of financial management and business development
  • Outstanding communication abilities, fostering strong relationships with guests, suppliers, and staff
  • A deep passion for food, beverages, and hospitality, with a sharp focus on quality and precision
  • Multitasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Fluency in Italian and English is required

What will you work on?

  • Ensure strict adherence to Nusr-Et’s service standards, from food presentation to guest interaction
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and an exceptional guest experience
  • Have a strong and dynamic presence on the floor Front of House and lead by example in every aspect of service and operations
  • Ensure financial performance, managing budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing profitability
  • Comply with laws and other legal requirements. Always be informed of any changes influencing the business
  • Drive recruitment, training, and performance management to build a highly skilled team.
  • Lead and develop the team including FOH and BOH, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with the marketing team to drive footfall, revenue growth and enhance brand awareness
  • Constantly monitor and check guest satisfaction to ensure customer experience is delivered to the highest standards
  • Implement and maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health & safety across all departments and areas of the restaurant
  • Manage stock levels, supplier relationships, and inventory control to minimize waste and maintain efficiency
  • Communicate with suppliers and contracts to meet all required deadlines and deals in required timescale
  • Act as the key liaison between the restaurant and senior management, ensuring clear communication and goal alignment
