Job Summary

The position belongs to the Compression Systems & Services business unit for the distribution channel. It involves developing and managing distribution accounts, supporting them in selling our product portfolio, training technical sales personnel, and supporting end customers. The role includes formulating sales strategies, forecasts, budgets, and growth plans for specific areas and distributors. The goal is to drive distributors and/or sales forces to meet or exceed sales targets, pursue major prospects, and lead negotiations with appropriate strategies and sales terms.

Responsibilities
  1. Sales: Direct the sales force to achieve sales and profit goals through market penetration. Develop new distribution outlets as needed. Analyze market potential for new products and applications. Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Manage multiple areas and adjust sales goals and procedures accordingly. Increase business among existing clients and promote the organization to new customers, resellers, and distributors to meet strategic objectives.
  2. Distribution: Establish effective relationships with distributor principals and key personnel, ensuring distributor loyalty to GDI/Champion/IR products. Develop and upgrade distributor organization to maximize sales coverage. Ensure comprehensive product offerings are marketed and sold by both distributors and local resellers. Support distributor growth and loyalty through continuous assistance. Follow company strategies regarding distribution channels, product mix, and sales levels.
  3. Targets: Design and recommend sales programs and set short- and long-term sales strategies. Evaluate and implement new sales techniques to increase sales volume.
  4. Management: Develop and maintain a competent workforce through recruitment, training, coaching, and goal setting.
Basic Qualifications
  • Technical background (High School Technical degree/Bachelor's in Engineering) or in-depth knowledge of rotary compressors, dryers, and filters. Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
  • Proven sales techniques and abilities.
  • Flexibility and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email; Siebel knowledge is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.
Travel & Work Requirements
  • This role requires nationwide travel and availability for short trips.
  • Willingness to work off-site most of the time.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to drive process and system changes.

  • Ability to work effectively within a well-structured team.
