Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Buyer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate can handle tasks ranging from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Genova or Pistoia, Italy.

Accountabilities

• Identify potential suppliers based on technical specifications
• Prepare requests for tenders and quotations
• Assess and negotiate received tenders
• Issue orders and framework contracts via SAP
• Manage purchase orders from forwarding to archiving

Required Skills/Knowledge

• Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
• Previous experience as a Buyer is preferred
• Proficiency with office software and computer tools
• Knowledge of SAP MM environment
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and management skills

Education / Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, management, economics, or legal disciplines

Languages

• Advanced English skills (at least B2)
