RDM Group is looking for a Technical Manager to join the technical team based in Ovaro (UD), Italy.
The Technical Manager is responsible for the technical and technological development of the plant, maintaining, optimizing, and developing the facilities within the available budget, as well as ensuring compliance with all environmental and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and preparation of the maintenance budget and ensuring compliance;
- Handling all project procedures and the technical planning of projects, including costs, deadlines, planning, engineering, studies, and economics;
- Ensuring the plant’s energy supply, including electricity, steam, gas, water, and safe availability;
- Planning measures related to fire protection, environment, energy supply, supervision, and ensuring conformity with current regulations;
- Technical maintenance of all systems within the specified cost budget;
- Ensuring all equipment and safety devices conform to existing regulations and promoting occupational safety;
- Maintenance and optimization of all emission-relevant installations for compliance with limit values;
- Fault and damage analysis, including evaluation, planning, and execution of maintenance measures, along with creating annual and monthly availability and fault reports;
- Managing technical maintenance to optimize the availability and performance of all technical equipment;
- Optimizing plants to increase performance in compliance with legal regulations;
- Adapting the technical department and machinery to new legislation.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree (electric-electronic-mechatronic field);
- At least 10 years in maintenance department in papermaking/board firms, including at least 3 years as manager of mechanical, electric, or CTE department;
- Good knowledge of English. Knowledge of another European language is preferred;
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to influence others;
- Excellent problem-solving skills, flexibility;
- Hands-on attitude and strong execution skills;
- Ability to structure, prioritize, and organize work across functions.
