Partner with the best

As a Senior Project Engineer, you'll lead the execution of projects with medium-high technical complexity across all GTE market segments (Downstream, Industrial, Pipeline, Power Generation). You'll oversee packages driven by electric motors (centrifugal or reciprocating compressors), Steam Turbines, and Gas Turbines for mechanical drive and power generation applications.

You will coordinate the entire engineering project team and serve as the main contact point for customers and stakeholders, supporting project quality and timeliness, and collaborating closely with Project Management, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing customer technical interfaces and communications
  • Reviewing and assessing information from ITO to start projects
  • Understanding customer needs within Baker Hughes IET Engineering
  • Managing the bill of materials in accordance with contractual and internal standards
  • Identifying customer requirements in technical specifications and ensuring correct flow-down of CTQ, aligned with product standards
  • Participating in quality meetings with customers and third parties, supporting the Project Quality Manager in reviewing the Quality Control Plan (QCP/ITP)
  • Reviewing test specifications, attending machinery tests with suppliers or clients, and leading VDR processes post-shipment

Fuel your passion

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautic, or Chemical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in multidisciplinary roles within Oil & Gas, such as System Engineer or Lead Design Engineer
  • Experience in machinery design (preferably Steam Turbines, Gas Expanders, Centrifugal Compressors, Reciprocating Compressors)
  • Strong knowledge of plant philosophy and main components for steam turbine power generation, petrochemical plants, and refineries
  • Proven team management and project execution skills
  • The ability to work in a matrix organization and willingness to travel
