We see your potential

We are seeking a talented Computer Vision Algorithm SW Engineer to work on Datasensing products according to the New Products Development Roadmap. You will participate in developing algorithms and software for a large product portfolio, including but not limited to Smart Vision Sensors (2D and 3D) for machine learning and robotics applications. You’ll work with heterogeneous platforms mainly based on ARM SOCs equipped with hardware accelerators (e.g., NPU, GPU, DSP).

Furthermore, you will be encouraged to act as a leader, find innovative solutions, submit patent proposals, share ideas, and accept exciting new challenges:

1. Analyze system requirements (functional, non-functional) and develop high-level architectural designs, defining subsystem requirements.
2. Design, develop, and test software from high-level applications to low-level components; create documentation for software and tests.
3. Adopt software engineering best practices (code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, code analysis, change management).
4. Develop algorithms in rule-based computer vision, machine learning, and robotics.
5. Perform testing and characterization activities on developed devices.
6. Study state-of-the-art publications in 2D/3D vision and robotics fields.
7. Review and debug code, managing its integration with existing codebases.
8. Collaborate with Team Manager and Program Manager to organize activities, define task priorities, and meet milestones.

Your skills will be valued along with the following expertise:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Languages: Italian, English (B2 at least).
• Extensive experience in system development on single and multiprocessor platforms, with proficiency in C++, C, and Python, including NPU and/or DSP programming.
• Understanding of machine learning, including model development, assessment, training, testing datasets, and algorithm performance evaluation.
