About The Job

Manufacture de Souliers Louis Vuitton, based in Fiesso d’Artico (VE), is seeking a Buyer for Shoe Manufacturing to join the purchasing department.

The candidate will be responsible for purchasing and negotiation activities related to the specific category (HF, Serigraphy, Embroidery). Under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager, they will propose framework orders and contracts, as well as develop and evolve relationships with strategic suppliers.

Main Responsibilities

• Negotiate contractual conditions (purchase prices, costs, delivery terms, lead times, capacity & availability, investments)
• Select new suppliers with risk management in mind, aiming to protect production by evaluating capacity, reliability, quality, and growth potential; support raw material sourcing teams
• Evaluate suppliers based on conditions, production characteristics, quality, organization, confidentiality, and capacity to innovate, grow, and evolve
• Ensure suppliers comply with Corporate Social Responsibility, ethical codes, group purchase conditions, and technical specifications
• Prepare and update framework commitments or seasonal raw material orders based on forecasts; monitor delivery times and order fulfillment, balancing allocations
• Plan purchases at a macro level to align order issuance with business needs, budget, and pricing policies set by marketing
• Support quality control and industrial development teams to prevent delivery delays, intervening directly in critical situations

Profile

We are looking for candidates with the following requirements:

• Degree in economics or legal studies
• Over 5 years of experience in footwear purchasing
• Excellent technical knowledge of manufacturing processes (HF, Serigraphy, Embroidery, etc.) and materials used in shoes
• Willing to travel
• Proficient in main IT tools and applications
• Good command of French and/or English
