From the Michelin star Restaurant Otto Geleng - one of the most spectacular restaurants in Sicily- to our Timeo Bar and Restaurant located on our famous terrace, culinary excellence is in our DNA.

We are looking for a Barman for the next season 2024 to join our bar team. The ideal candidate is willing to provide authentic, luxury experiences in a world-renowned destination to our guests. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and comfortable with challenges. He / she is willing to provide authentic and luxury dining experiences, demonstrating care, confidence, curiosity and community. He/She should have exceptional taste and exemplary customer service skills.

He/She reports to Bar Manager

We are looking for genuinely enthusiastic personality, professional & hardworking with the highest standard of presentation and ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution-focused. Excellent command of English. Additional languages would be desirable.

Requirements

• Previous hospitality experience within a luxury environment.
• Ability to communicate with guests in the luxury market to meet their individual needs.
• Previous experience in the same position
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Fulfill the Bar operations assisting with service, setup, mise en place and cleaning, according to the Belmond policies, high standards and procedures;
• Monitor all aspects of the guests experience, from the restaurant layout before their arrival to the experience they receive during the service.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with all guests and handle requests and enquiries.

FURTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Good interpersonal & communication skills;
• Very presentable and well groomed;
• Fluent Italian and good command of English;
• A third language preferred;
• Previous professional experience within the same role in a luxury environment;
• Excellent communication skills, both with guests and colleagues;
• Passion for service and ambition to grow professionally.
• Living in Taormina or nearby

Seasonal contract according to Italian law "C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo - Federalberghi."
