About the role

STERRY Limited is looking for a Marketing Manager focusing on Europe (particularly Germany, France, Spain, and Italy) in a remote setup. Key qualifications and skills are essential for managing diverse markets and working across various cultures.

Qualifications
  1. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree (optional) in International Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Business Administration could be an advantage.
  2. Experience: Proven experience in marketing management, particularly in a digital marketing agency environment. Experience in international markets or with clients in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, or Europe. Understanding cultural nuances is crucial. Experience working in a remote or distributed team is highly desirable. Track record of campaign success in various marketing channels within the European context. Project management experience managing multi-channel, multi-market campaigns simultaneously.
  3. Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential. Fluency or advanced proficiency in German, French, Spanish, or Italian is highly advantageous. Understanding local marketing and consumer trends in these countries will be a significant plus.
  4. Technical & Digital Marketing Skills: Proficiency with digital marketing strategies and tools like SEO, SEM (Google Ads), content marketing, social media, affiliate marketing, and influencer marketing. Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Mailchimp). Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Tableau) to track KPIs, manage data, and optimize campaigns. Content creation and strategy, including understanding of the types of content that perform well across different European markets.
  5. Cultural Understanding: Deep understanding of local consumer behavior in the target countries and the ability to tailor strategies to each market's culture. Sensitivity to local regulations around data protection (GDPR) and advertising standards. Ability to localize marketing campaigns in language, imagery, tone, and channels.
  6. Leadership & Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Leadership qualities to manage, inspire, and mentor remote teams. Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
  7. Strategy & Analytical Skills: Strategic thinking to design and implement marketing strategies. Strong analytical mindset to interpret data and adjust campaigns. Experience in budget management.
  8. Adaptability & Flexibility: Ability to work across time zones, adapting to the needs of teams and clients. Comfort with ambiguity and pivot strategies as needed.
  9. Client Relationship Management: Ability to build and manage client relationships, ensure satisfaction, and provide strategic recommendations.
  10. Tools and Platforms: Experience with remote collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom). Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce). Knowledge of ad management platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
  11. Professional Certifications (Optional): Google Ads, Google Analytics, HubSpot, Facebook Blueprint, PPC or SEO certifications.
  12. Soft Skills: Problem-solving, time management, self-discipline, proactive mindset.
  13. Other Qualifications: Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento). Understanding of B2B marketing and ABM strategies. A network of local partners or influencers could be valuable.
