A leading organization in surgical ophthalmology seeks a Patient Journey Manager in Udine. This role involves coordinating patient care from selection through surgery and rehabilitation, ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field and experience in low vision rehabilitation, with a passion for enhancing patient quality of life.

Competenze

  • 3–5 years’ experience in medical devices and/or pharmaceuticals, preferably in ophthalmology.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in low vision rehabilitation.
  • Fluent in the local language and proficient in English.

Established Search is excited to be exclusively partnered with an innovative organization in the surgical ophthalmology space, dedicated to improving vision and quality of life for individuals with untreatable retinal disorders.

Job Overview:

The Patient Journey Manager will act as a vital link between clinical partners, rehabilitation teams, and patients, ensuring smooth coordination throughout the entire treatment process. From initial patient selection to surgery and post-operative rehabilitation, you will guide all stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships with implanting centers and rehabilitation teams.
  • Provide hands-on training to clinical staff, including visual rehabilitation and low vision professionals.
  • Support and oversee the full patient journey, including selection, surgery follow-up, and long-term rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with commercial and medical teams to activate new treatment centers.
  • Engage with patient groups, doctors, and referral networks to raise awareness and improve access to care.
  • Ensure effective communication between surgical and rehabilitation teams for continuity of care.
  • Identify and coordinate patient testimonials for awareness campaigns.
  • Serve as a primary contact for patient support issues and incident reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Degree or qualification in Orthoptics, Optics, or a related low vision field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in medical devices and/or pharmaceuticals, preferably in ophthalmology.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in low vision rehabilitation.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a patient- and customer-focused approach.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and able to work under pressure.

  • Proficient with MS Office; a tech-savvy mindset is a plus.
