A leading company in logistics is seeking a Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Area Manager to oversee a team of technicians and ensure equipment reliability. The role involves implementing maintenance standards, enhancing productivity, and fostering a safe work environment. Candidates should have a strong engineering background and supervisory experience, with proficiency in both English and Italian.

As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Area Manager, you’ll bring together the elements that make our working environment supportive and efficient. Your focus will be to lead and mentor a team of expert technicians dedicated to equipment reliability.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Support colleagues in site compliance with safety policies and procedures
  • Implement EU network standards, plan preventative maintenance, and ensure technical availability
  • Collaborate with colleagues to collect and analyse data to improve processes
  • Deliver and support both site-based and network-level projects
  • Lead, support, and mentor your team to develop their careers

A day in the life:

You’ll be based at one of our operational sites, which allows you to give practical guidance to your team and get a clear view of what’s happening at your site. This involves collecting data and solving problems in a fast-paced environment. You’ll also have the opportunity to create an operational plan to enhance productivity and efficiency. This will include initiating projects that improve operational processes and equipment maintenance. The role emphasizes safety and team leadership, including managing performance and organizing training.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma
  • Significant practical engineering experience including a supervisory role managing people
  • Multiskilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines
  • Experience with automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems
  • Ability to communicate in English and Italian at CEFR Level B2 or higher
  • Experience adhering to health & safety standards and regulations
  • Solid computer skills (MS Office, CAD)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of all specialized engineering and facilities equipment within the Fulfillment Center, including maintenance and safety procedures
  • Experience working with PLC control systems
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs
  • Experience with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement processes
