Job Description:

The candidate supports scientific operations by addressing their informatics needs, including analysis, design, implementation, validation, and maintenance of scientific systems and applications, for both commercial and bespoke solutions. They design and implement software programs and scripts as needed. The candidate collaborates directly with end-users for business/demand analysis, assists with the deployment and maintenance of laboratory systems, ensuring compliance with user security and data integrity transfer requirements. They contribute to international corporate informatics initiatives/projects and work closely with other R&D IT team members, operating with a good or high degree of autonomy depending on seniority.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide informatics support for deploying scientific applications and laboratory systems; ensure systems perform as intended; troubleshoot issues; and maintain system documentation.
2. Act as validation project manager for small laboratory systems.
3. Engage with internal end-users and/or suppliers to gather requirements, design systems, and conduct user acceptance IT testing.
4. Ensure compliance with the internal Computer System Quality Management framework.
5. Provide on-call support as required.

Education and Skills:

• Bachelor of Computer Science
• Software and Unit Testing development (coding)
• Knowledge of full stack engineering with modules on both front and back-end processes
• .NET, C# and/or Java and/or Python, HTML, CSS, Oracle DB, SQL Server, No SQL
• Agile frameworks
• Jira, Confluence, SharePoint
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles
• GAMP5, Computer System Validation (CSV) knowledge
• Adaptability
• Interpersonal communication skills

Languages:

• Italian: fluent
• English: Intermediate or above
