We are currently seeking a Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer, reporting directly to the Rotating Equipment Section Head, to join our team based in Rome, Italy.

About the opportunity:

You will work within the Rotating Equipment Section, responsible for technical selection, detail engineering development, and supplier management for plant turbomachinery. You will lead the integration of equipment across all technical aspects and interfaces with plant systems (process, instrumentation, electrical, piping, civil), verifying conformity with project specifications throughout the equipment's lifecycle, from selection to delivery.


Key interactions include internal collaboration with Project teams, Procurement, Process, Construction, and other engineering disciplines, as well as external engagement with Clients and Suppliers.


Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  1. Ensuring timely and quality preparation of project technical specifications in coordination with other disciplines;
  2. Preparing material requisitions for inquiry;
  3. Conducting technical analysis of received bids;
  4. Preparing material requisitions for purchase;
  5. Acting as the main interface with suppliers during detailed engineering and technical follow-up;
  6. Ensuring proper communication and interface with project functions such as procurement, planning, other engineering disciplines, and clients;
  7. Providing timely reports on engineering and requisitioning activities to the Lead Discipline Engineer;
  8. Adhering to man-hours and budget constraints;
  9. Meeting quality and HSE objectives of the project.

You will have opportunities for business trips to attend technical meetings with Clients or Suppliers, visit vendor workshops, and collaborate with colleagues overseas. You may also follow up on engineering activities related to machinery directly on-site, supporting erection, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Mechanical or Energetic Engineering


Languages:

English - fluent


Main Skills:
  • Ability to work effectively in a team within an international, multicultural environment

  • Open-mindedness regarding new energy sources and digital solutions
  • Knowledge of renewable energy, green/blue hydrogen technologies, and digital tools
  • Availability for international mobility, short or long-term
  • Previous experience (2-5 years) in a similar role and knowledge of machinery is a plus
