A leading company is seeking a strategic Global CIO / IT Director to drive their global IT and digital initiatives. The role involves overseeing IT solutions, managing ERP systems, and leading digital transformation efforts to enhance business processes and operational efficiency.
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Global CIO / IT Director to lead the company’s global IT and digital agenda.
JOB PURPOSE
The role will work in envisioning, defining, and implementing applications and systems, user experience, data integrations, and predictive analytics. The role will be in charge of the development and maintenance of IT solutions for the company by working with different stakeholders in order to optimize business process efficiency and implement enhancements to internal business processes as well as managing successfully the ERP implementation to ensure that integrated data flows from ERP and production systems support comprehensive business intelligence dashboards, KPI monitoring, and predictive analytics initiatives.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES
Define the overall ICT architecture and the evolution road map also considering (having strong confidence with) new emerging technology and trends, among others cloud-native architecture, microservices, containerization (es. Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
• Define, on a recurring basis and in alignment with company leadership, IT development roadmaps and strategic plans on an annual and three-year basis.
• Manage global implementation and development projects in the application area in a structured manner, meeting internal customer requirements, coordinating the internal development team and/or working with external consultants, with a primary focus on ERP systems, local and IC business process improvement, and BI;
• Ensure appropriate application maintenance (both evolutionary and corrective), in compliance with local regulations and corporate policies;
• Manage global implementation and development projects in the systems area in a structured manner, meeting internal customer requirements, coordinating the internal systems team and/or working with external consultants, with a primary focus on collaboration tools and the O365 environment, networking, and unified communication;
• Ensure appropriate systems maintenance (both evolutionary and corrective), in compliance with local regulations and corporate policies, and by defining and guaranteeing detailed SLAs;
• Manage the execution of IT projects aimed at production environments, collaborating with department managers in defining related organizational improvements;
• Manage the annual budget (costs and investments), negotiations, contracts, and relationships with global IT service partners and providers, assessing and identifying new collaborations and continuously improving solutions;
• Provide company leadership with structured weekly reporting on project progress, with a global scope and covering all IT areas of responsibility;
• Support departments in feasibility studies for new high-innovation projects;
• Conduct research on emerging technologies and assess their potential impact and applications within the Company environment; Drive process reengineering initiatives across departments by leveraging digital tools and ERP functionalities, in alignment with business strategy and operational excellence goals
• Coordinate and organize IT department resources and functional workflows according to standards and best practices (ITIL).
PROFILE
Education (minimum/desirable): Bachelor’s degree in business, Mathematics, IT or related
Languages: English, Italian
Experience/professional requirements: Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience in integrating ERP systems with manufacturing and production systems (e.g., MES) to enable real-time data acquisition and process visibility
Minimum Qualifications:
Has a good comprehension and experience in automation implementation and in Artificial Intelligence (AI )in IT operations (AIOps), including predictivemaintenance, automated response to incidents and intelligent monitoring.
Manage agile methodology (es. Scrum, Kanban) and is able to lead and execute digital transformation programs.
Show strong communication ability, in particular transferring technical information to non technical people, and a collaborative approach to work.
