Job Description:

For one of our clients, we are looking an ambitious Finance Manager working remotely and with at least 3 years of relevant previous work experience.

Responsibilities

The Finance manager reports directly to the CFO and is expected to perform the following activities:

- Budgeting, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, profitability analysis, tracking and analysis of relevant financial metrics, revenue recognition and reconciliation

- Provide insights to support business decisions and support the achievement of the set business goals

- Oversee all administrative activities and assume responsibility for general accounting with the help of a junior resource reporting to you (P2P/Accounts Payable, Billing, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, payroll and payroll accounting, filing of statutory returns, tax returns and compliance, treasure cash management)

- Liaise with statutory auditors to request and provide necessary input for internal and external reporting

- Collaborate on the future fundraising processes developing business cases and business plans together with the founders

- Ability and willingness to research competitors financial data, elaborate strategies based on data analysis and help in the application process of national and international calls for tenders to obtain funding (on the financial side)

- Guide the structuring of internal workflows and process related to the finance function to ensure maximum efficiency

- Help resolve any problems related to financial and administrative issues by working with the company’s leadership team and any other internal or external contact person

- Collaborate and communicate effectively and transparently with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has the following experience and characteristics:

• 3+ Years work experience as a finance specialist/manager and/or auditor (deep knowledge of general accounting)
• Bachelor's degree in economics or management engineering
• A quick thinker able to come up with solutions and anticipate problems
• You are not just a ‘numbers cruncher’, you need to fully understand the business and its logics and become a trusted strategy advisor to the senior management
• Experience with Agicap, Power BI, Dynamics AFC or SAP AFC or similar tools
• Ability to extract meaningful insights to improve the business
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and to create decks to present data and insights to an audience of stakeholders (including investors)
• Knowledge at C1 level or above of the English language
• Skills of autonomy, proactivity, precision, organization and attention to details are a must
• You need to have and show a ‘can do’ attitude in order to succeed in this role

Furthermore are highly appreciated:

• Previously worked in a startup environment facing different rounds of capital raising and the finance activities involved
• Previous experience in a Big4 company and/or in digital consultancy company
