A leading company in the engineering sector is seeking a Senior Machinery & Package Engineer to join their team in Milan. The role involves reviewing technical documentation, preparing deliverables, and supporting project phases. Ideal candidates will have a mechanical engineering background and at least 5 years of relevant experience in EPC Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects. Fluency in English and a willingness to travel are essential.

We are looking for a Senior Machinery & Package Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Milan.

Responsibilities

1. Review contractual technical documentation and requirements.
2. Prepare deliverables relevant to Machinery & Packages issued by the mechanical discipline, including design criteria, technical specifications, mechanical data sheets, inspection data sheets, material requisitions, and technical bid evaluations.
3. Perform basic sizing or design calculations for Machinery & Packages according to applicable codes to define main equipment features.
4. Review vendor documentation related to Machinery & Packages and interact with suppliers on technical issues (vendor follow-up).
5. Attend inspections and tests at vendor shops.
6. Support the Site Technical Office during erection and commissioning phases.
7. Review tender documentation and prepare clarification requests during the bid phase.
8. Plan work to meet the project schedule.

Requirements

1. Mechanical engineering background.
2. Knowledge of main international codes, standards, and best engineering practices for Machinery & Packages.
3. Minimum 5 years of experience in Machinery & Packages engineering in EPC Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Energy projects.
4. Fluency in English; proficiency in French is highly desirable.
5. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
6. Willingness to travel frequently and/or relocate abroad.
