SICIM is a world leader in engineering, procurement, and construction in the Oil & Gas sector. We are seeking to train a Project Welding Coordinator for our various worldwide projects.

Position:

Sicim is currently looking for a Welding Engineer to join our headquarters in Busseto.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

1. Analyze technical and operational requirements related to welding and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) aspects of projects, proposing solutions to meet these requirements efficiently and effectively;
2. Coordinate and supervise qualification of welding procedures, welder qualifications, and welding operator certifications, as well as validation tests for NDT both at the site and at projects if required;
3. Prepare technical documentation for welding and NDT (procedures, work instructions, reports, welding matrix, ITP, WPQR, WPS, etc.);
4. Collaborate with the Purchasing Department for procurement of filler materials and shielding gases, and inventory management;
5. Work with the Subcontracts Department to request NDT services for projects and headquarters;
6. Coordinate with the Commercial Department on technical aspects during bid preparations;
7. Provide technical support and resolve welding and NDT issues during production;
8. Coordinate welding and NDT activities once production has started;
9. Collaborate with the Quality Department and Project Management to ensure proper quality management of welding and NDT, maintaining quality and production objectives;
10. Assist in maintaining the company's quality certifications (e.g., ISO 3834-2, ISO 9001);
11. Serve as the technical focal point with clients, supervisors, subcontractors, and third parties;
12. Plan and perform audits and inspections on welding and NDT activities.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (alternatively, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry);
2. Possession of IWE (International Welding Engineer) certification;
3. Previous experience in the Oil & Gas sector is preferred;
4. Good knowledge of English (at least B2 level), with proficiency in other languages such as Spanish or German being a plus;
5. Proficiency in office software and applications (MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, CAD, etc.);
6. Willingness to undertake short/medium-term international travel;
7. Proactive attitude, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, flexibility, and adaptability.
