Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Technical Department within the Pomini Business Unit.

The candidate will be responsible for:

1. Basic and detailed design of machine tool prototypes and new applications.
2. Autonomous management of the bill of materials for standard products.
3. Basic and detailed design of customized parts within standard orders.
4. Basic and detailed design of installation engineering, including civil works and piping.
5. Design review sessions with structural and safety engineers.
6. Managing project timelines and budgets.
7. Collaborating with external consultants for detailed design work.
8. Reviewing activities conducted by external consultants.
9. Design and cost estimation for quotations.
10. Coordinating with other departments such as Sales, Planning, Purchasing, Production, Total Quality, and Service.
11. Providing technical communication with customers.
12. Participating in meetings with customers domestically and internationally.
13. Visiting erection sites to monitor progress and troubleshoot issues.

Requirements:

1. A degree in Mechanical Engineering focusing on Mechanical Construction, or Aerospace Engineering as an alternative.
2. Proficiency with 3D drawing tools, particularly Autodesk Inventor.
3. Proficiency with 2D drawing tools, particularly AutoCAD.
4. Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts, especially PROFile.
5. Familiarity with management software, especially SAP.
6. Strong understanding of machine tool mechanisms, structures, technologies, and components.
7. Experience with the design, calculation, and dimensioning of machine parts.
8. Significant experience in a design office within the machine tools sector.
9. Fluency in English.
10. Willingness to travel.
11. Leadership qualities, teamwork skills, a collaborative approach, multicultural mindset, and problem-solving abilities.
