The Technical Sales Manager will work closely with Sales Managers in the regions, Global Key Account Managers, Marketing, and R&D functions to better penetrate key customers, build on Elementis’ brand image, and drive new sales opportunities and long-term success. This role is pivotal in ensuring our customers receive unparalleled technical support, driving product excellence and customer satisfaction.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  1. Lead technical expertise across the entire EMEA region: Drive the team to achieve business objectives and accelerate the creation of new business opportunities across all tiers.
  2. Manage customer projects: Collaborate with technology, marketing, and sales teams to resolve technical issues related to product formulation and manufacturing. Develop and strengthen technical relationships with current and new customers. Understand their strategic directions and pain points, and introduce Elementis’s value proposition to support their plans.
  3. Drive product innovation: Ensure market needs, customer expectations, and regulatory standards are met in collaboration with R&D and marketing teams. Lead or participate in multifunctional projects for Personal Care.
  4. Develop training programs: Design and implement comprehensive training for internal teams and customers to clearly communicate the value proposition of Elementis products.
  5. Identify new business opportunities: Align internal technical expertise with customer needs to foster new project development and support sales and marketing initiatives.

Technical expertise: Deep knowledge of product formulation in the personal care sector, understanding of industry-specific regulatory requirements and standards.

Position Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the personal care industry
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English; additional European languages such as French, Spanish, German, or Italian are a plus
  • Working arrangements: Home office based
  • Travel required: Up to 50%
