- is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, responsible for organizing, promoting, and communicating the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games. - Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities involved, over an area of 22,000 sq km. The Organizing Committee was established in 2019 to ensure the Games' organization in compliance with the Host City Contract signed by the IOC, Milano, Cortina, and CONI. Partners include the Italian Paralympic Committee, Lombardy and Veneto Regions, Trento and Bolzano Autonomous Provinces, supported by the Italian Government.

- The primary responsibility of this role is to manage customs clearance and coordinate freight activities for the Games. The Customs and Freight Coordinator will collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and Customs Authorities to ensure smooth and compliant movement of goods. Key activities include:
- - Analyzing and negotiating commitments with government for special Olympic procedures, including duty exemptions.
- - Developing a Customs & Freight Forwarding Guide with authorities, brokers, and IOC/IPC requirements.
- - Supervising transfer operations of international materials, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
- - Ensuring service levels with C&F providers, fostering interaction among all functions.
- - Preparing and reviewing customs documentation for compliance and accuracy.
- - Collaborating with teams and external partners to facilitate customs clearance and resolve issues.
- - Maintaining records of all customs documentation and permits.
- - Coordinating transportation logistics, negotiating rates, and tracking shipments.
- - Managing critical situations swiftly and effectively.
Requirements
- Over 6 years of proven experience in customs clearance and freight coordination, preferably in similar roles focusing on customs operations and logistics management.
- Strong knowledge of local, national, and international customs laws and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with customs documentation, declarations, and related procedures.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant customs and logistics software.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in international trade, logistics, management, or related field.
