Associate Technical Consultant – Toscana (short term contract)

A Day in the Life

Medtronic is hiring a Technical Consultant for an open position within the CRM (Cardiac Rhythm Management) Operating Unit with responsibility for the entire Piemonte, Liguria, and Toscana territories. In this role, you will have a crucial impact on our patients by providing key technical expertise to cardiologists, sales representatives, and marketing functions, mainly supporting implant and follow-up procedures, as well as conducting presentations and demonstrations of products like pacemakers, loop recorders, and implantable defibrillators.

The Technical Consultant CRM will provide technical and specialist support in the operating room to ensure correct use of Medtronic products in the Toscana, Piemonte, and Liguria areas, and as needed, throughout Italy. This is a home-based role under a short-term contract.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Provide implant and follow-up support to physicians and nurses of CRM products.
  • Provide technical expertise to sales representatives, other sales functions, and customers.
  • Participate in presentations, conferences, and meetings to support sales colleagues and build relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in training and technical updates for physicians and hospital staff involved in Medtronic product use.
  • Support post-marketing activities using Customer Relationship Management tools (Lightning Salesforce, MMX).
  • Share complete product, therapy, and service information, demonstrating good commercial skills through daily interactions with doctors and staff.
  • Provide technical support upon request, sharing clinical data to demonstrate product efficacy.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in bioengineering or related fields, with a focus on continuous learning.
  • Strong communication, collaboration skills, and a proactive attitude.
  • Knowledge of written and spoken English (at least B2 level).
  • Problem-solving skills to address technical issues from multiple perspectives.
  • Team-oriented mindset aligned with Medtronic’s mission.
  • Based in Toscana with flexibility to travel within Italy.

Previous healthcare experience is a plus but not mandatory.
