About the Job

Within the SM.I.LE80 engineering organization, we seek a Data Engineer / SQL Developer who can contribute actively and effectively to the evolution of the SM.I.LE80 product. The candidate should bring experience and a willingness to learn about the unique intersection of robotics, software engineering, automation, and networking. Responsibilities

1. Contribute to the design, development, and optimization of data storage, data pipelines, reporting, and analytics solutions.
2. Assist in setting up and configuring High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) deployments.
3. Participate in the design, development, and administration of our future cloud-based offerings.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in software, computer science engineering, or equivalent.
• 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and administering relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in SQL & TSQL, including advanced topics such as OLTP & OLAP systems, isolation levels, recursion, etc.
• Experience with query tuning, optimization tools, and related techniques.
• Experience with unit testing tools for SQL/TSQL.
• Knowledge of Windows SQL Server 2019 DBA including HA, DR, clustering configuration, and administration.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools, semantic layers, transformation pipelines, streaming, and non-relational databases.
• Knowledge and development experience in .NET / C# environment.
• Experience with ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework, NHibernate, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in industrial automation, telecommunications, or mission-critical software.
• Experience with cloud services like Azure, AWS, etc.
• Experience with BI/Analytics platforms.
• Proficiency in other scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Gitflow, etc.
