RINA is currently recruiting for a Global Associate Business Controller to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the Global Planning & Control Division.

Mission

As a Global Associate Business Controller, you will partner with business unit leaders to provide financial oversight and influence operational decisions to optimize performance and achieve strategic objectives. Your key responsibility will involve implementing management control systems to monitor, evaluate, and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Develop and implement KPIs and performance measurement systems to track progress towards strategic goals.
  2. Analyze performance data to identify areas of improvement and drive operational excellence.
  3. Provide regular feedback to business unit leaders on performance against targets and benchmarks.

Cost Management

  1. Conduct cost analysis and cost-benefit assessments to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
  2. Implement cost control measures and monitor cost drivers to ensure alignment with budgets and strategic priorities.
  3. Collaborate with operations teams to develop cost-effective resource allocation strategies.

Process Improvement

  1. Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks, recommending process improvements to enhance productivity.
  2. Lead cross-functional teams in process reengineering initiatives, leveraging technology and best practices.
  3. Establish performance targets and benchmarks for process optimization, monitoring progress towards goals.

Risk Management and Internal Controls

  1. Assess internal control systems to mitigate operational risks and ensure compliance.
  2. Implement risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks.
  3. Conduct internal audits and reviews, recommending corrective actions as needed.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  1. Collaborate with leaders to develop budgets and financial forecasts.
  2. Track budget performance and analyze variances, providing insights.
  3. Assist in developing financial strategies to meet business targets.

Strategic Planning and Decision Support

  1. Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing for strategic decisions.
  2. Collaborate with management to develop strategic plans aligned with corporate objectives.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance Management, or Economics preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in performance management, process improvement, and cost optimization.
  • Strong understanding of management control principles.
  • Proven ability to drive change and implement improvements.
  • Leadership skills to influence stakeholders.
  • Project management skills for leading cross-functional projects.
  • Fluency in Italian and a good level of English is mandatory.
