Job Description:

What you will do

The Sales Application Engineer for Fire Detection Systems will report directly to the regional team supervisor. You will work from home or a local office, supporting sales and growth initiatives across the EMEA region by providing application support for Johnson Control's global fire detection product portfolio and PAVA systems, including addressable and conventional fire detection systems and accessories.

You will liaise directly with system distributors, installers, commissioning engineers, and end-users. As part of the sales engineering team, you will collaborate closely with sales, customer service, inside sales, marketing, training, and R&D departments.

How you will do it

• Provide product support to customers and sales teams using JCI fire detection software tools to deliver tailored solutions.
• Support the full range of fire detection systems and PAVA systems, ensuring compliance with international standards such as EN, BS, NFPA, and UL.
• Participate in product-specific training to facilitate ongoing professional development.
• Communicate effectively with consultants, designers, project managers, and end-users, advising on application services and project support according to relevant codes and standards.

What we look for

• Bachelor’s Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or relevant industry experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in the fire detection industry.
• Knowledge of fire and voice alarm design and installation standards, including BS5839.
• Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
• Problem-solving skills, ability to work independently with self-discipline.
• Up-to-date with industry trends and standards, including EN standards for fire detection products.
• Understanding of relevant building standards and codes.
• Strong communication skills, capable of creating and delivering presentations.
• Experience with Zettler and Fireclass products is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, and diagnostics tools.
• Willingness to travel and hold a valid passport and driver’s license.
• Ability to work remotely and as part of a team, with confidence and results-driven attitude.
