A leading company is seeking a Lead Mechanic to perform maintenance on C-26 aircraft, ensuring airworthiness through troubleshooting and repairs. The role requires extensive experience in airframe and powerplant maintenance, leadership skills, and compliance with FAA regulations. The position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for overseas deployment.
The V2X Aircraft Lead Mechanic performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-26 aircraft. Is responsible for servicing, launch and recovery, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness. These tasks are performed on avionics and electrical systems, environmental systems, engines, flight controls, and airframe components. Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. Reads and interprets manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Performs servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs on aviation ground support equipment.
Job Specifications
The Lead Mechanic is appointed to act in a leadership capacity at his / her site. The individual is the primary point of contact at the site for the Government, Headquarters, Regional Manager, and Site personnel.
The Lead Mechanic reports directly to the Maintenance Manager or Program Manager assigned to Madison, MS.
Reference must be made to the “Aircraft Mechanic” Job Description. The Lead Mechanic must meet the specifications, duties, and knowledge of an Aircraft Mechanic as well as those listed below.
