Join the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team to maintain and optimize technology within our global warehouse and delivery network.

Purpose of the Job

We seek motivated, customer-focused individuals to serve as Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Managers. You will oversee a team of engineering technicians, focusing on safety through training and coaching, and ensuring high equipment availability via preventative maintenance and adherence to processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead, support, and mentor your team to work safely, efficiently, and according to standards.
2. Collaborate with the team and network to leverage technical expertise and develop solutions.
3. Support safety and compliance programs in coordination with the Site Safety department and leadership.
4. Implement network standards and prioritize preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
5. Organize training and ensure adequate technical coverage for shifts.
6. Manage local projects or support EU-level projects as assigned.
7. Work on shifts as needed to stay connected with the team and daily operations.

Basic Qualifications

• Significant practical engineering experience, including supervisory roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Multiskilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Experience with automated equipment such as packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
• Proficiency in English and local language (CEFR Level B2+).
• Knowledge of health & safety standards and regulations.
• Strong computer skills (MS Office, CAD).

Preferred Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering and facilities equipment within FCs and DSs, including safety procedures.
• Experience with PLC control systems.
• Project management experience.
• Familiarity with CMMS programs.
• Experience with Kaizen and continuous improvement methodologies.
