Responsibilities- QA /Compliance Management
- Maintain management system certifications to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 3834-2.
- Develop new procedures & processes and identify deficiencies in existing processes and procedures, revising them to introduce system improvements.
- Carry out internal audits to ensure compliance with the mentioned standards and policies.
- Host customer and third-party audits of Zeeco’s management systems to demonstrate compliance.
- Train and mentor staff in requirements associated with certifications compliance.
- Review and authorize Pre-Qualification documentation.
- Work with other global quality managers to develop and manage the global PRIDE initiative objectives.
- Prepare, host, and minute Quarterly Management Reviews and maintain action plan close-outs.
- Manage all NCR and lessons learned processes.
- Host regular NCR reviews and develop strategies to ensure timely close out of NCRs.
- Address customer complaints.
- QC
- Act as a focal point and coordinator for ZEL QC activities.
- Prepare, review, and approve ITP and Quality Plans.
- Prepare, review, and approve other quality and manufacturing documentation.
- Organize / coordinate global QC inspectors including contract inspectors for all Zeeco global locations for any inspections in Europe / ME.
- Manage a team of permanent QC Engineers plus contractors and resident inspectors at contractors.
- Prepare and develop inspection procedures.
- Prioritize inspection activities of both in-house and contract inspectors.
- Set acceptance criteria and adjudicate on inspection criteria disputes.
- Raise and progress NCRs and carry out regular reviews to analyze any trends or particular areas of concern.
- Welding
- Act as the company RWC and prepare weld books, WPS, and justifications for use of the same.
- Deputize for RWC to arrange and monitor weld procedure and welder qualifications.
- Provide assessments to Manufacturing manager of the ability of welders employed.
- Develop new weld procedures where existing qualifications are not in place.
- Carry out training and development of welders and other personnel in welding activities.
- PED
- Act as the global SME for PED / PE(S)R, SANS 347, and any other global pressure equipment regulations.
- Coordinate and organize all NoBo activities for all locations globally for PED PE(S) R etc.
- Prepare all ESRs, HAs PMAs Categorisations, and Waiver requests for PED/ PE(S)R etc.
- Act as nominated signatory for legal PED documentation e.g. D of C’s.
- Respond to non-European locations missing PED requirements for projects where they apply.
- Carry out reviews and approvals of vendor and NoBo PED documentation for compliance.
- Ensure technical files for PED etc. are correct and maintained.
- MRBs
- Carry out review and approval of all manufacturing records for ZEL.
- Solve issues found with respect to records issues.
- Nominated company signatory for Declarations of Compliance, Certificates of Conformance etc.
The Candidate:- The ideal candidate will be from a QHSE background and will likely have already held a supervisory/management position including the mentoring and development of their teams.
- They will need knowledge and skills in the following areas:
- A relevant degree (desirable).
- Experience in the application of Quality Management Systems to ISO 9001.
- Experience/Training in HSE management/supervision (qualification desirable).
- Knowledge of structural steel and pipework fabrication, CE Marking, Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU), and ISO3834.
- Experience in a QC Engineering Role within an engineering/manufacturing site or similar.
- A relevant formal qualification would be preferred.
- CSWIP 3.1, PCN level II DPE, MPI, Radiographic interpretation, Industrial Radiograph (desirable).
- Knowledge of Euronorm and ASME Construction, inspection, and welding codes and standards.
- Ability to implement new processes.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office, Visio.
- Excellent communicator, verbal and written, able to influence and negotiate.
- Excellent team player; resourceful, well-organized, highly dependable, efficient, and detail-oriented.
- Confident and assertive.
- Ability to use initiative and make decisions autonomously.
- Must be willing to travel internationally when a need arises.
