Optical Engineer - REF 01

Our Manufacturing Data Analysis team (PEF05) is looking for an Optical Engineer to join the company in the Porto Sant’ Elpidio office and to be responsible for managing optical non-conformities. This opportunity is aimed at Engineer with a background in Optics or with an equivalent scientific background.

The selected candidate will be placed in the Manufacturing Data Analysis team and will be part of a multidisciplinary team with experience in non-conformity (optical, electronics and mechanical) management and implementation of root cause analysis, testing and validation of alternative components and data analysis of production, prototype, and post-repair units.

The selected candidate will take the following responsibilities:

1. Repairing and testing optical components
2. Support in the management of non-conformities in terms of defining test plans, execution of test campaigns and analysis of results (RCA)
3. Support in the generation of documentation relating to non-conformity management activities
4. Support in the definition and coordination of the tests plan for the validation of alternative optical components
5. Support in the release documentation for the validation of the alternative components

1. Bachelor’s degree in optical engineering or equivalent
2. Good knowledge in the use of PC and Office package (Word, Excel, Power Point)
3. Consolidated knowledge of and ability to use oscilloscope, multimeter, power supply and waveform generator
4. Able to work autonomously and/or in a team
5. Attitude to problem solving and to achieve results within time and cost constraints.
6. Basic knowledge of MATLAB
7. Basic knowledge of English in writing and speaking
8. Basic Knowledge of Inertial Navigation Systems (optional)
