Job Description :

We are a rapidly growing company specialized in Customer Experience for the automotive sector, providing great products and services to Fortune 500 transportation companies. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Backend Developer with expertise in MySQL to join our team. As a Java Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems that power our applications. In this role, you will primarily work with MySQL databases, and knowledge of NoSQL databases and Elasticsearch is highly desirable.

Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend systems with a focus on MySQL database integration.Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers to ensure high-performance data retrieval and manipulation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Develop and implement data models and database architectures that meet scalability and performance requirements.Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance by implementing appropriate access controls and encryption mechanisms.Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, performance bottlenecks, and system failures.Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in database technologies, including NoSQL databases and Elasticsearch.Collaborate with other developers to integrate backend systems with frontend components and third-party APIs.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to best practices.Document technical specifications, system architectures, and implementation details.Develop and execute unit tests and ensure high code coverage through test-driven development and automated testing processes.

Requirements :

Proven work experience as a Java Backend Developer with a strong emphasis on MySQL database integration.In-depth knowledge of Java programming language and related frameworks (e.G., Spring, Hibernate).Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.Strong understanding of database design principles, performance optimization, and indexing strategies.Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.G., MongoDB, Cassandra) and their integration with Java applications.Preferably, experience with Elasticsearch or other search engines for efficient data retrieval.Solid understanding of web services (RESTful APIs) and microservices architecture.Experience with version control systems and Agile development methodologies.Proficiency in test-driven development (TDD) and experience with automated testing frameworks.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Good proficiency in Italian and English (written / spoken) is mandatory

Salary range (freelance contract) :

208-265 € / day, based on experience.
