Job Title: EXPORT AREA MANAGER

Our customer is a leading industrial company. We are seeking an Export Area Manager to support their growth across distributors within France, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Egypt.

Responsibilities
  1. Support the growth of business by acquiring new distributors within the assigned regions.
  2. Establish sales targets with distributors in alignment with company goals for sales growth, product volume, and discounts.
  3. Provide leadership, support, coaching, and mentoring to distributor teams to enhance their skills.
  4. Conduct regular customer visits with distributors and provide feedback to improve performance.
  5. Coordinate technical sales training on new and existing products to build technical competency.
  6. Collaborate with marketing and product management teams.
  7. Maintain awareness of external technical or business developments, including competitor activity and sales volumes by market segments.
  8. Assist the Financial department in managing customer payments.
Qualifications
  • Preferably a degree in engineering.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Technical and commercial sales experience.
  • Proven success in managing and motivating distributors.
Professional Skills and Personal Qualities
  • Experience in managing and coaching sales teams.
  • Proficiency in sales techniques: qualifying prospects, managing bids, negotiation, closing, and contracts.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication, proactive attitude, commitment, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sense of urgency, accountability, and focus.

Residence near Milan is preferred; travel within the territory is expected for about 60% of the time.
